Therefore, measuring happiness scientifically requires accurate scales with good psychometric properties. Happiness is a comprehensive measure of one's satisfaction with life and a general feeling of emotional well-being. Three components of happiness have been identified in prior research, namely positive emotion, satisfaction, and the absence of negative emotions, such as depression and anxiety. In other words, how much one likes the life he/she lives. Happiness can be defined as the individual evaluation of the overall quality of his/her own life. Happiness is one of the main components of positive psychology. There has been an increasing interest in positive psychology and the science of happiness.
